Perth Public Course
Great course for those who don’t have a lot of experience in first aid and also for expecting parents / grandparents. The course covered some great topics and I’d recommend it!

Great course
I found this course useful even though I’m a teacher and have done many first aid courses. It was helpful to learn about infants. The only thing I’d recommend is investing in some comfortable chairs. As a pregnant person, having to sit on a hard chair for 4+ hours during the course led to a lot of pelvic pain and prevented me from being able to concentrate.

Worth the money
My partner and I a great experience with Tiny Hearts Education in preparation for our baby. The hands-on learning approach was incredibly helpful and allowed us to truly grasp the material in a way that boosted our confidence. We really appreciated the resources provided throughout the course. They offered clear, easy-to-read overviews of everything we learned, plus additional materials to dive deeper. This made the learning process even more enriching and manageable. Overall, I’m grateful for the opportunity and highly recommend Tiny Hearts Education to anyone looking to expand their knowledge on how to look after their little ones in an emergency.

Valuable
Session was very informative covering a range of topics. At the end was disappointed it was “sped up to get us out early” while we covered all the content, delving into questions to test knowledge like was done earlier on would have been preferred as we all had signed up knowing the duration, so was no need to rush it.
However still a worth while session to attend for sure.

First aid course
Course content and educator were great!
Only “negative” / feedback that I’d like to comment on were the chairs were very uncomfortable, especially when sitting for so long and it was very hard to get onto the hard concrete floor for the practical part as I’m 34 weeks pregnant. Some cushions to kneel on would have been amazing.

Hi Tahlia, Thank you for the feedback! I am happy to hear that you found the course content and our educator wonderful. I really appreciate you sharing your experience regarding the seating and getting onto the floor – I understand how uncomfortable that must have been, especially at 34 weeks pregnant. I am definitely going to look into providing cushions or other options with my team and the venue that hosts us to make the practical component more accessible and comfortable for everyone. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention; it's invaluable feedback for us. Warm regards, Nikki xx
First aid
It will be good to know the causes of symptoms too. That will help with memory.
Reply from Tiny HeartsTiny Hearts replied
Hi Simon, Thank you for your valuable feedback on our course. Your suggestion to incorporate information on the underlying causes of symptoms is insightful and greatly appreciated. I will consider your suggestion with the team and explore ways to integrate information on symptom etiology. Your feedback will help us provide an even more enriching learning experience for our community :) Warm regards, Nikki
Baby First Aid Course
We did this course when our baby was 4 months old. I wish we’d done it earlier. It equipped us with lots of info but found it quite overwhelming to receive such volume in one sitting. I was glad to have the book to take home as a reference when we’re in a pinch and potentially stressed and not thinking clearly to refer to. I hope we never have to use it but I do feel better knowing I have it there if I do need it. The course was run by a young doctor in training, he was great - was clear and concise and empowered us with accessible language and hands on practical experience. Would recommend. It’s not very affordable though you can’t put a price on your child’s safety but times are tough, so it’s a bit of a big expense especially if multiple people from the one household want to attend. I got ours on sale. Recommend doing the same if you can.

I'm glad that you love the handbook - it's such a great resource to have on hand at home! Regarding the affordability aspect, we understand the financial constraints families may face, especially during challenging times and I agree with you that you can't put a price on your child's safety. A must for parents
It was amazing having Tiny Hearts present the first aid course at our home. The information was exactly what was needed and the educator was kind and helpful. I did find that there was a lot of information to set into the time and some things had to be rushed but the take home handbook was amazing to reread and gain further info where I needed it.

I feel very empowered by practising CPR, great to get all the important apps and phone numbers. ( have already shared with people at work.)
It was difficult to find the pages in the book as they were in different order as the course info.
Had hoped to have seen some fruit , nuts , biscuits or anything to eat for the price of the course. Happy I did it.

4 Stars
Quite expensive in comparison to other in person first aid courses. However, it was super informative and helpful. Got a discount code for first aid kits but then website didn’t have any available. I would recommend to others however I do this it was a bit expensive.
Great first aid course with a focus on children and babies
The Tiny Hearts first aid course was very informative. However I was disappointed that the CPR baby dummies we dolls not proper CPR babies that click when your perform CPR. It’s hard to tell if you are using the correct technique when you are doing cpr on a doll.
Suitable for first time parents pre-child
My husband attended the course. We have a 2yr old and a 4 month old. He has attended BLS years ago and felt a lot of this was already covered in that. He also said that having a 2yr old already we had experienced many of the scenarios already. He did take a few things from it but overall felt as though he didn't get much from it unfortunately and that the presenter just read out of the book you get so you could just do that instead of attending

Great course with little update required
The course info is good. However, towards the end of the face to face course was rushed when would've been great to have the time to cover them. Would be easier for the book pages to be in the same order as the presentation slides! 4 hours is not enough when every few minutes someone adds inputs! It's great that we have hard copy book and have unlimited access to online course. Thanks
Value for money only issue
A little on the expensive side in comparison to other business providing the same service and against whats learnt
Excellent teacher, great to have a smaller class.
Good
It was good we did need to tell her to go slower as she kept speaking as if she was racing a train but very informative. I wish the in person one allowed kids, because that's why we needed to do it.
Overall great course, but some modifications needed
We registered for this course as it was the most extensive out of the ones available in Adelaide and covered the most topics. Overall it was great, the instructor was very knowledgeable and the information was useful. However, the allocation of time between topics should be revisited - for example, most attendees indicated they were interested in learning about choking and yet this topic was rushed through at the end, while less important topics (e.g. pain relief) were allocated far too much time in my opinion. Also, it might be worth reinforcing in your reminder emails that if people are unwell they should stay at home - we were in a fairly crowded room with multiple people who were clearly unwell, which is quite distressing with so many pregnant women present.
Decent
The instructor was fantastic and made it easy to listen to her for the whole time. I really struggled to read the slides sitting on the side with the sun glare - please consider not using a white font on a pastel background. Also the last 40 mins was incredibly rushed and I don’t feel like I was able to get much from that last section. There is online resources for refreshers but not sure the content is worth paying double other child first aid courses. The CPR section and choking sections which were most important to me were covered very thoroughly thank you.
Launceston
Coursework was very comprehensive. The person delivering the program was so excellent.
Unfortunately the session was due to finish at 1pm and it ran over. I missed out on the entire 5th part of the session (respiratory issues) as I had to leave on time at 1pm. I would have loved to stay but couldn’t on this particular day. I feel like I missed out on crucial information due to the time discrepancy and feel a bit short-changed. I would suggest that the information regarding the session times should reflect a longer period e.g. 9am-2pm, with an early finish being a bonus.
Thank you so much for all your work!
Relevant and great information in a beautiful location
The session was very interesting and great to do. It was held in such a beautiful location. My only complaint is they did not have enough dummies for everyone to be doing something at the same time. Otherwise, it was fantastic and worth it.
Good Course
The course was good and provided us with the confidence to help in a situation. Unfortunately we had to rush through some important information at the end due to time and didn’t get to practice with some items available. Our trainer was informative and we definitely learnt a lot. Thank you
Good Course
Good course that covers range of hazards. I left feeling more confident that I had a baseline level of knowledge should I need it. Many of the lessons very practical.
The thing that would make it 5 stars would be: 1) more explanation of “why” certain protocols. (Eg not just no tweezers to remove stings, tell us the reason why no tweezers as this will help me understand better to apply the principle) 2) it would have been helpful to receive a workbook for the course in person so I could take notes. But I’m sure the online reference guide will help anyways
4 Stars
The course was very informative even though it was a lot of information. The course went over a little so was a long day (especially if your pregnant) I feel it would be great to have a few more of the quiz questions and scenarios that ask the students what would you do in this situation as it helps to apply the information you learn on the day - otherwise was a great course that covered all I was looking to know
