Good refresher

I thought it was a great session but would be good if it was clear that it was for very beginners. Most of what I learnt I had learnt from other training at either first aid or surf club, I thought it would be really different for babies but it did seem that a lot of the same things applied. It would have also been good to be able to have the products there to buy.

Hi Brieanna, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our course. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us refine our course offerings. We aim to provide clear expectations on the course content and target audience to ensure participants have the right information upfront. We will review our course descriptions to better communicate the level of training and focus and ensure it aligns with the expectations of attendees like yourself. The course is developed to be specially aimed at babies and children from 0-8 years of age and although this is briefly mentioned in standard first aid courses, this isn't a huge focus area. Additionally, we appreciate your suggestion regarding having products available for purchase during the course. We will explore ways to incorporate a product showcase or pop-up shop during our courses, allowing attendees to conveniently access the items discussed. Thank you again for your feedback. It helps us identify areas for improvement and deliver a more tailored and valuable experience for our customers. We're grateful for your support and look forward to implementing these enhancements to better serve our community. Warm regards, Tiny Hearts Team

Not what I had hoped for

It’s taken me a while to write this review (I did the course about 12 months ago now). I think because I part of me felt let down and disappointed and the other part felt embarrassed to have been influenced into this course when I could have saved money and learnt more doing a smaller, locally run class. Overall the instructor was very knowledgeable, however unfortunately the class size was just too large to actually make it worthwhile. She also had wey to much content to cover within the time frame. A large portion of the course was spent on cpr which I did not find beneficial as do annual basic life support for infants/children st work. I do understand that this is important to cover for most though, however feel it displaced and made the actual content I wanted covered (eg fever, febrile convulsions, falls first aid) feel rushed, incomplete and I can’t recall most of it. I also was not impressed at the quality of videos (all snippets sent in by parents on social media).

Ok not as good as expected

I had high hopes for the day whilst I did learn lots and walk away more confident in the first few areas of the course CPR and choking etc the last few topics were rushed over and I still feel I question myself after about the last few topics and Google about those topics. I felt like the day was a little rushed and the size of the class for 1 teacher / educator was too big … for that size would think you would need at least 2 teachers for when doing the practical CPR / choking whilst the educator said she watched over everyone I still don’t think it was enough another set of eyes helping reassure people would have been better. Especially for the price. The venue it’s self was great (could have been a little colder in the room if being really particular). Teacher was good very knowledgable and passionate! Just wished there was at least 1 more even to ask questions as she said she was there all day taught a class before and not eaten so obviously not going to get the absolute most out of the one person.

Hi Tahan, We are so sorry to hear that you had this experience. This course was designed to make parents (or soon to be parents) feel confident and educated to act in a first aid emergency and we are so sorry to hear that you aren't feeling that confidence. We have passed this feedback on to our education team who have taken this board and been in touch with you privately about this. Please don't hesitate to contact us at hello@tinyhearts.co if you would like to discuss further.

For beginners

Great to have a refresh of content however the day is very top level, certainly for those who are highly unaware and it’s a long day. Take your own water, coffee, snacks as Sydney location is in the middle of an industrial area. Not as in depth as I would have liked (but I am a bit of a nerd and like detail).

Course review

The course was was extremely insightful and the presenter was great ! However, I’m marking down the review because we were given foldable chairs to sit on for a course that ran 4 hours. Mostly everyone at the course was pregnant and it’s unacceptable to not provide adequate seating. Please do better and provide suitable seating. Otherwise I highly recommend it !
